HELLYERS ROAD

Hellyers Road was founded in 1997 on the lush island of Tasmania. The distillery owes its existence to the shared passion for whisky between the owner of a dairy cooperative and a professional distiller. Together, they decided to create a new kind of milk – this one is malted! The name of the distillery pays tribute to its very first explorer, Henry Hellyer, who was the first European to set foot on this wild land. From this man’s determination was born the very first road built through the bush – the very one that now leads to the distillery. Without a doubt, Hellyers Road’s exceptional whiskies have inherited the perseverance of its very first pioneer! First distilled in 1999, the whisky owes its character to a perfect mastery of cask maturation.
