PROFILE : Nikka Coffey Gin reveals a fresh and zesty profile, featuring intense notes of sansho pepper, juniper and citrus fruits. In addition to the classic botanicals, its signature comes from Japanese citrus fruits such as yuzu, kabosu, shikuwasa and amanatsu, as well as the highly aromatic sansho.

Nose : Extremely aromatic, the initial nose reveals sharp notes of lime and orange blossom. Upon aeration, it evolves toward a more milky (coconut), lush (juniper), spicy (gray pepper, pink peppercorns), and stone fruit (apricot) profile.
Palate : Both lively and smooth, the initial taste reveals new aromatic herbs (sage, verbena). On the mid-palate, citrus notes (lemon) and ripe fruits (apple, pear) come to the fore before being overshadowed in turn by bold spices (star anise, grated ginger).
Overall : This mouthwatering finish gives the sensation of chewing on a licorice stick. Its grassy character is reminiscent of green tea and a mint infusion. Bitter oranges add a lot of vibrancy to the aftertaste.
