PROFILE : This single malt reveals an ample and structured profile, featuring smoky, phenolic, earthy, animal and honeyed notes. Crafted from Gairdner malted barley and distilled in a pot still after a fermentation of around fifty hours, this cask strength bottling was matured in a bourbon cask.

Nose : Full-bodied, generous. Combining malty, peaty and chocolate notes with an abundance of waxy, fruity (passion fruit, yellow plum) and vanilla aromas, the first nose is a magnificent display of exuberance. With aeration, the aromatic profile gives way to a peat character enriched by salt crystals and maritime notes (seaweed, kelp), evoking a true coastal atmosphere.
Palate : Rich, silky. Now revealing more pronounced smoky and ashy accents, the peat becomes drier, medicinal (arnica), root-like (gentian) and camphoraceous. Mid-palate, flavours of candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), chamomile and heady flowers (mimosa, broom) are supported by a pleasant, mouth-watering bitterness.
Overall : Clean, vibrant. Honeyed (acacia), spicy (grated ginger), roasted and empyreumatic (soot, charcoal), it gradually returns to a malty and herbal territory (cut hay, tobacco). On the retronasal finish, barley sugar, orgeat syrup and bacon add a luscious, animal dimension that feels entirely fitting.
