Christian Drouin Calvados is, above all, a family story. Since the 1960s, Christian Drouin Sr. has specialised in the rarest – and oldest – Calvados expressions. Today, the House offers the widest range of vintages in the industry, with 38 references spanning from 1939 to 1998.

The Drouin family pays particular attention to the ageing of its eaux-de-vie. Inspired by traditional methods, they use sherry or port casks and also explore new maturation paths using casks previously filled with Banyuls, Sauternes, or Muscats de Rivesaltes – resulting in rare and unexpected aromas.  

To preserve Calvados’ signature fruit-forward character, the House favours using second-fill or older casks over new oak barrels.
