EL TEQUILENO

Located in Tequila, in the State of Jalisco, the El Tequileño distillery benefits from an exceptional terroir, ensuring a high-quality tequila. Founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo, it is now run by his son, Jorge Antonio Salles. All the agaves used are of the Blue Weber variety, grown in the highlands of Jalisco, where the mineral-rich soil promotes a high sugar content. El Tequileño is one of the few distilleries with access to water from the Tequila Volcano. Distillation takes place exclusively in copper pot stills, and the aging of special editions is carried out in meticulously selected casks.
