Produced from a double distillation, this 100% apple Calvados from the Pays d'Auge is aged for a minimum of 5 years in recent casks, followed by an additional 4 to 5 years in old casks. Benefiting from a wide selection of containers (cider, calvados, port, sherry casks, etc.), the VSOP blend offers an incomparable range and richness of aromas. It opens with notes of ripe apples mixed with soft spices, vanilla, and cinnamon. The palate is smooth, harmonious, and rounded. The 1.5L format provides even greater visibility to this fine Calvados.

Nose : Enticing and fresh. Precise notes of sweet cider, baked apple, and gingerbread. It opens with more vegetal and floral notes. Gradually becomes fruitier with hints of citrus and prune. Evokes an almond liqueur.

Palate : Full and gentle. The more present wood structures and channels the fruity notes from the nose. Soft spices appear mid-palate. Great balance.

Overall : Harmonious, with no bitterness or astringency. It lingers on the fruit, with apple notes. A medicinal touch with clove and arnica.
