MARQUIS DE MONTESQUIOU
MARQUIS DE MONTESQUIOU – French Armagnac House. Founded in 1936 by Pierre de Montesquiou, the Société des Produits d’Armagnac is behind the Marquis de Montesquiou house. Established in Gascony since 1040, the family counts among its ancestors Pierre de Montesquiou d’Artagnan, musketeer to Louis XIV and the figure who inspired The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. Since 1955, only three cellar masters have succeeded one another, perpetuating with rigor the art of blending and ageing. Among the three areas protected by the Armagnac AOC, the house exclusively selects eaux-de-vie from Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze, known for their finesse and structure.
