Marquis de Montesquiou 6 Years Old is crafted from a blend of Baco, Folle Blanche, and Ugni Blanc grapes sourced from Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze. This Armagnac offers an inviting profile where yellow fruits and crisp plum blend with notes of vanilla, caramel, and delicate oak. It perfectly illustrates the balance between youthful energy and the smoothness of early oak maturation. The Armagnacs in this blend are aged for a minimum of 6 years in oak casks. During this time, the spirit breathes, oxidizes, and develops complex aromas of dried fruits, spices, and caramel. This process transforms the texture and aromatic profile of the spirit while softening its harshest notes. Marquis de Montesquiou was founded in 1936 by the Montesquiou family, whose ancestors include d’Artagnan, the inspiration behind the legendary Musketeers. Passed down through only three Cellar Masters since 1955, its expertise is expressed through a rigorous selection of the region's finest eaux-de-vie.
