WATERFORD Peated - Cuvée Fumo Itinéraires

With a phenol content of 55 ppm, this micro-cuvée, named Fumo, was made from organically grown barley varieties from four local farms. Aged in four types of casks: first-fill bourbon (33%), new American oak (22%), new French oak (19%) and natural sweet wine casks (26%), it brilliantly embodies the desire of Mark Reynier, founder of the Waterford distillery (2014), to produce a whiskey according to the criteria of absolute traceability and transparency that he associates with the concept of terroir. Deeply marked by a peat that is as complex as it is omnipresent, its aromatic and flavor palette is also abundantly fruity, tenderly vanilla-scented, nobly spiced, and deliciously indulgent.
