MERLET Soeurs Cerises

Crimson with black tinges. The initial nose is both pulpy and heady. Black cherriessteeped in very fine spirit. Even evokes a cherry eau de vie. Suddenly, cherry skins break to release a refreshing, creamy juice. A sensation of deep, mature fruitiness reigns throughout an aromatic palette. The attack is syrupy but not sweet. A silky, ethereal liqueur takes hold of the palate. It is so concentrated that it evokes black cherry ice cream livened up with a sprinkling of blackcurrants. Mouthwatering and juicy, the end of the palate is coated in tannins from the skin and zest of citrus fruits (orange, tangerine).
