Founded in 1805 in Konan, Shiga Prefecture, Kitajima Shuzō is a family brewery that has preserved its local heritage for over two centuries while embracing modern innovation.

The house utilizes local Ōmi-mai rice and pure water from the Suzuka Mountains. It favors the traditional kimoto method, creating sakes with a deep structure and bold umami. Its Junmai and Junmai Ginjo cuvées are distinguished by their balance, elegance, and crisp finishes—a perfect bridge between tradition and modernity.
