KOPKE 50 ans White

Founded in 1638, Kopke is the oldest Port house and has built a strong reputation for its expertise in aged White Ports. Kopke 50 Years Old White showcases this savoir-faire through a blend of wines with an **average age of 50 years**, selected for their richness and ability to express the complexity developed through decades of ageing. Made from traditional Douro grape varieties, the wine is fermented with skin maceration before being fortified with grape spirit. It is then aged for many years in oak casks, where time gradually develops its depth, complexity and balance. This extended ageing results in a White Port that is both rich and fresh, with a deep golden colour and greenish hues reflecting its considerable age. The profile combines stone fruits, dried fruits, vanilla, spices and citrus, with a full-bodied, silky palate supported by a fine saline structure.
