A complex and elegant eau-de-vie, François Voyer XO Gold is a cognac to be enjoyed slowly, as it evolves considerably once served, and is surprisingly long-lasting. It has retained the vigour of Grande Champagne from the nobility of its origins, and the softness of its aromas from its great age. François Voyer VSOP is a blend of 20 to 30 year old eaux-de-vie, distilled on the lees and aged in medium toast new Limousin oak casks for 3 years, then in old casks in a damp cellar. The reduction in distilled water was done gradually (maximum reduction of 1 to 2% per addition every year) in order to bring out the maximum finesse and complexity.

Nose : The floral notes fade to reveal bolder aromas of vanilla and dried fruits (walnuts and hazelnuts), intertwined with spicy and peppery scents. Prominent woody notes are also present, the result of a very long maturation in oak casks.

Palate : It is defined by both its power and refined smoothness. The length on the palate is exceptional.
