Nose : Warm but not aggressive for a Brut de Fûts. Marked roasting notes (coffee) dominate those of macerated fruit (plum, stone fruit) and spices (nutmeg).
Palate : A straightforward woodiness that offers a beautiful structure. The tannins envelop the whole mouth. The wood dominates. Good length, revealing spicy notes and a slight hint of walnut, which fade away to make way for grilled stone fruit, undergrowth (fern, boxwood) and macerated fruit (prune).
