Since 1905, four generations have succeeded one another at the head of the Franco-Norwegian Cognac House, Bache-Gabrielsen. In 2015, three ageing cellars and a blending cellar were built. On the foundation stone of cellar no. 1 is engraved the motto of the Maison Forlenger livet og gleder, meaning “prolong life and joy”. From the prestigious Grande Champagne terroir, this version perfectly symbolizes the complexity and fresh expression of the blends created by Jean-Philippe Bergier, the house's emblematic cellar master since 1989.

Color : topaze.

Nose : fresh, fine. On the first nose, fine spices (white pepper, cinnamon) rub shoulders with hints of bourbon vanilla. A lovely exotic rancio (roasted pineapple, dried mango) precedes a tenderly herbaceous and fruity olfactory sequence (ripe grapes, white peach).

Palate : elegant, unctuous. Candied (orange, mirabelle plum), the attack is particularly velvety. A delicate layer of bloom then coats the taste buds. The finish is simultaneously lactic (almond, fresh walnut) and exotic (pineapple, banana).

Overall : long, fluffy. The finish is honeyed (acacia) and greedy (hazelnut, frangipane). On the aftertaste, candied citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon) invigorate a palette of flavors that, from start to finish, shines with harmony and freshness.
