Nose : Fine and airy. Successively floral (daffodil, lily), fruity (pear, mirabelle plum), herbal (freshly cut hay), saline, milky (barley porridge), and citrusy, the aromatic profile is constantly enveloped by the fragrances of a rich peat smoke with earthy, ash-like, and balsamic nuances. Full of subtlety, it is remarkable for its voluptuousness and complexity.

Palate : Full-bodied and creamy. As subtle as the nose, the flavour profile first reveals a rich, oily, maritime peat character (iodine, seaweed). Then, citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) and pears release a refreshing, tangy, and slightly sweet juice across the palate.

Overall : Both elegant and concentrated. Under the influence of a peat character that has become drier, more root-like (ginseng), and crackling, the finish is, like the palate, refreshed by citrus notes. Bright and vivid, the retronasal aromas transport us to the seaside, breathing in iodine-laden air filled with sea spray. The dry residues left in the empty glass reveal notes of malt, medicinal aromas, candied lemon, and phenolic nuances (clove, sticking plaster).
