PROFILE : This single malt reveals a patinated and balanced profile, featuring apricot, rancio, honeyed, woody and spicy notes. This cask strength bottling comes from a blend of single malts matured in sauternes casks and sherry oloroso casks.

Nose : Both fresh and full-bodied. Orange zest, sandalwood, heather honey and candied ginger make up a first aromatic sequence that is complex and profound. With aeration, the aromatic palette becomes even more rancio-like, revealing notes of fig, dried apricot, brandy-soaked cherry and roasted mango.
Palate : Straightforward and noble. Long and elegant, the flavour profile displays remarkable maturity. Apricot, roasted notes (coffee), liquorice and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg) are supported by smooth malty flavours. Rich and indulgent, it evokes exquisite desserts: gingerbread, orange cake and Bourbon vanilla crème brûlée.
Overall : Elegant and velvety. Finely tannic (plum skin), subtly tangy (orange zest) and apricot-driven, it gradually becomes coated with flavours of beeswax polish (royal jelly, beeswax) and fruit paste (quince, mango). Over time, intense floral aromas (iris, carnation) perfume a finish wrapped in a delicate layer of salted butter caramel and black liquorice.
