Nose : Rich and deep. Right from the start, a rich, oily, salty, iodine-like, medicinal, and earthy peat takes center stage in an aromatic profile of rare fullness. As it breathes, scents of smoked bacon, malted barley, candied lemon, and mirabelle plums unfold in a second, equally generous olfactory stage.

Palate : both lively and full-bodied. Supported by a pleasant malty and lemony bitterness, the flavor profile gives way to a peat that has become drier, floral, and spring-like (dandelion, daffodil). Over time, honeyed (acacia), herbaceous (freshly cut hay), and smoky (soot, diesel) flavors deeply permeate the palate.

Overall : dense, rich. Particularly evocative, it brings to mind a fireplace hearth where a fire of twigs crackles. This incandescent character is gradually tempered by succulent malty, honeyed (linden), and candied (William pear, pineapple) flavors. Long afterward, the dry extracts from the empty glass return with force, highlighting the earthy and animalistic character of this magnificent Yoichi.
