Distillation: Rhum Fauve is crafted from pure organic sugarcane juice sourced from Paraguay. The distillate is then aged for 3 years in oak barrels that previously held Bourbon and further refined in Banyuls wine barrels from the Piétri-Giraud estate in Collioure (66). Aging in Bourbon barrels imparts a touch of vanilla and smoky wood, while refinement in Banyuls casks brings sweetness and indulgence.
Tasting notes: Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
Nose : Subtle and vanilla nose, leaning towards wood. Beautiful coppery hue, acquired through passages in both barrels.
Palate : Naturally sweet and spicy. The Banyuls cask imparts notes of red fruits.
