In search of a rare four-cask finish, the Tullamore D.E.W. distillery aged a 14-year-old whiskey for at least six months in four completely different types of casks: bourbon, Oloroso sherry, port, and Madeira. Each cask brings its own aromatic palette to the whiskey, resulting in a lively and fragrant Irish single malt with a very fruity character.
Nose : Notes of poached apples, citrus fruits, and tropical fruits, all enveloped in vanilla oak aromas.
Palate : Rich and well-balanced. A combination of woody, fruity notes mingle with the sweetness of caramel and honey. Port and Madeira add hints of dried fruit and chocolate notes.
Overall : Long and warm. Beautiful persistence of dried fruit, honey, and dark chocolate. Light woody spice and a touch of candied fruit.
