PROFILE : This single malt reveals a light and fresh profile, featuring peated, coastal, medicinal, empyreumatic and smoky notes. Boasting a phenol content of 50 ppm, this cask-strength bottling was matured in bourbon casks at the Tsunuki distillery.

Heavily Peated
Nose : Rich, intense. Allowing a peat with chocolate, camphoraceous, iodized, and pastoral accents (daisy, buttercup) to express itself fully, the nose shows remarkable completeness. With aeration, it turns more medicinal (mustard), marine (sea salt), and savory (smoked fish, shellfish). Also worthy of note is the presence of honeyed (acacia, linden) and exotic (pineapple) scents.
Palate : Full-bodied, velvety. Extending the richly sweet and fruity character of the nose, the palate is refreshed by mentholated and vegetal (pipe tobacco) flavors. Then, on the mid-palate, peat takes center stage once more, bringing along soot, tar, and essential oils (thyme, rosemary, oregano).
Overall : Expansive, silky. Deeply intertwined with the late palate, it now displays savory tones (bacon, bresaola) and terpenic notes (lava). This mineral evolution is elevated by scents of heated asphalt. As a crowning touch on the retro-olfaction, barley grains imprint a fundamental malted/smoky signature.
