PROFILE : This single malt reveals a rich and heady profile, featuring notes of beeswax, noble spices, tobacco, camphor and toffee. Selected exclusively by La Maison du Whisky for the Les Anthologistes Collection, this single cask No. 20600504 was matured in a first-fill sherry cask and bottled at cask strength.

Nose : rich and heady. At first, aromas of beeswax, royal jelly and linden honey permeate an oxidative atmosphere of currants and dates, complemented by refined spices (saffron, cardamom). With aeration, notes of white peach and gooseberry bring remarkable freshness to the aromatic profile.

Palate : clean and lively. Indulgent (Calisson d'Aix, custard flan), peppery, heady (geranium, wallflower) and luscious (raisined grapes, roasted pineapple), the palate displays remarkable concentration. With time, it becomes medicinal (arnica, Marmot balm), camphoraceous and praline-like.

Overall : long and dense. Autumnal (mushroom, chestnut, fresh walnut), tangy (candied lemon, grapefruit) and fermentative (grist), it gradually moves towards more resinous and honeyed notes (fir tree, heather). Then, aromas of incense, pipe tobacco, toffee and cinnamon enrich a retro-olfaction of remarkable complexity, concentration and elegance.
