Originating from Flic en Flac on the island's western coast, Planteray Mauritius 2014 beautifully showcases the refined character of Mauritian rum. Bottled at 50%, it was aged for 8 years under tropical conditions and finished for 4 years in Ferrand casks in France. The rich nose opens with caramel, ripe banana, passion fruit, and a hint of sweet tobacco. On the palate, dried fruits and exotic guava are elevated by delicate floral touches of rose petals. The elegant, lingering finish is marked by black tea, cracked pepper, and candied orange peel.
