Nose : Fleshy, rich. The magnificently chocolatey first nose also reveals superb notes of beeswax, candied apricot, marmalade, grilled walnut, red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant) and more. Allowed to breathe, vetiver and dried rose fragrances fill the air

Appearance : Acajou.

Palate : Powerful, lively. The particularly invigorating attack is radically different from the nose. The empyreumatic (turpentine, diesel), hot (Espelette pepper) and tangy mid-palate ventures into the world of fruit spirits, wild raspberry in particular. This is followed by a deeply confident mineral (zan liquorice sweets) and volcanic sequence.

Overall : Long, heady. At the start of the finish, flavours of lavender honey and wild strawberry authoritatively take centre stage. Becoming ever richer, the after-taste invites to enjoy an array of different desserts (spice bread, prune cake). The very end of the finish is powdery (cocoa) and fruity (date, fig).
