KILCHOMAN Machir Bay Exclusive Edition

Machir Bay, Kilchoman’s iconic expression, is not just a whisky but also the name of a picturesque beach located a stone’s throw from the distillery on the island of Islay. This signature single malt has been reimagined here as an exclusive limited-edition release available only at La Maison du Whisky. Unlike the classic version, which features a blend of whiskies aged 90% in first-fill bourbon casks and 10% in Oloroso sherry casks, this version offers a slightly different blend: 80% of the whiskies are aged in first-fill bourbon casks and 20% in Oloroso sherry casks. Heavily peated at 50 ppm, unchill-filtered and uncoloured, Machir Bay Exclusive Edition is characterised by powerful notes of smoky ash, citrus, white and tropical fruits, enhanced by a hint of saltiness.
