PENDERYN Bad Wolf 10 ans Icons of Wales

Founded in Cardiff in 2015 by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner, in collaboration with showrunner Russell T. Davies, Bad Wolf made British television history by breathing new life into the famous series Doctor Who, setting it in Cardiff and making Wales a hub for audiovisual creation. Since then, other iconic series have been created in Bad Wolf's Welsh studios, further strengthening the growth of the Welsh artistic community. To celebrate ten years of this adventure, the Penderyn distillery is unveiling a unique whisky: a 10-year-old single malt, the thirteenth edition of the “Icons of Wales” collection. Aged in tawny port casks, then finished in rum, Carcavelos wine, and STR casks (Shaved, Toasted, Recharred), it is bottled at 46% ABV to preserve its full aromatic richness. Its nose reveals notes of fresh apples, caramel, pear candy, and dried fruit. On the palate, red fruits combine with the warm spices of rum—clove and cinnamon—in a full and balanced texture. The finish, smooth and lingering, reveals woody notes and an elegant touch of dark chocolate. With this refined whisky, Bad Wolf and Penderyn combine their expertise to celebrate Welsh daring, imagination, and identity.
