JAPANESE RUM : Nine Leaves 9 Year Old 2017 is a black sugar rum from Japan.

PROFILE : This rum reveals a deep and ample profile, featuring rancio, empyreumatic, tertiary and indulgent notes. Crafted from kokuto black sugar, this bottling undergoes a four-day fermentation, is distilled in a pot still and matured in a single cask that previously contained a white wine from Californian estate Wente Vineyards.

DID YOU KNOW? Following the closure of the distillery in 2023, Velier bought all the remaining stocks to preserve its heritage, adorning each bottling with an illustration taken from Unsun Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game from the Edo period.
