Nose : Powerful and spicy. Delightful vanilla, floral and herbaceous notes on the first nose, then orchard fruit aromas gently develop, complemented by notes of ripe apple and sweet pear. Pot still spices and aging in American oak impart comforting notes of cinnamon, cloves and freshly cut hay, which mingle with delicious notes of toffee and heather honey.
Palate : Soft and silky. Notes of tropical fruit, peach and nectarine blend harmoniously with aromas of crème brûlée, toffee apple and chocolate-covered honeycomb. Delicate floral notes from the grain combine with spicy notes from the pot still to create a wonderfully balanced, yet complex and elegant whisky.
Overall : Long and aromatic. Long finish in which fruit and American oak continue to linger gently until the last note.
