To celebrate the appointment of Junji Iseki as Chief Blender, the Japanese House unveils an exceptional limited edition: The Nikka Limited. This cuvée pays tribute to the art of blending and its transmission within Nikka Whisky. It symbolizes the passing of the torch between two key figures: Hiromi Ozaki, Chief Blender until 2025, and his successor, Junji Iseki.
Through this creation, Nikka Whisky continues its story, upholding a tradition of excellence shaped by meticulous craftsmanship and respect for time — faithful to the founding vision of Masataka Taketsuru, regarded as the father of Japanese whisky.
A MEANINGFUL SHOWCASE
Beyond the whisky itself, The Nikka Limited also expresses its identity through its bottle and presentation box. For the first time in Nikka Whisky’s history, the glass is adorned with a deep black hue, like the raising of a curtain on a new era, following the House’s 90th anniversary, celebrated in 2024. The blue-grey tone—now an emblematic color of Nikka Whisky—subtly underscores the modernity of this timeless design.
On the label, the signatures of Hiromi Ozaki and Junji Iseki come together, sealing this passing of the torch. The embossed silver logo, contrasting with the glossy black, emphasizes the exclusive character of this edition, limited to 8,000 bottles worldwide.
Inside the box, the handwritten notes of both blenders offer a personal insight into this creation, inviting every enthusiast to discover not only a whisky, but also a story of heritage and transmission.
