Since 1866, nestled in the hills of Tennessee, Jack Daniel’s has been crafting a whiskey with a bold personality, instantly recognizable thanks to its square bottle and black label. Behind this apparent simplicity lies a meticulous expertise that has made the brand a global reference.
A Whiskey Like No Other
What sets Jack Daniel’s apart is its use of the Lincoln County Process: a slow filtration of the distillate through charcoal made from sugar maple wood before it is barreled. This method, typical of Tennessee whiskeys, removes harsh compounds while preserving aromatic intensity. The result is a smooth and balanced profile, marked by notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and a gourmet hint reminiscent of popcorn.
Like bourbon, the mash bill contains at least 51% corn, complemented by malted barley and rye. The distillery controls every step: from crafting its own new, heavily charred oak barrels to bottling on-site, nothing is left to chance.
A Distillery Where You Can’t Legally Buy Alcohol
In a curious twist, the distillery is located in Lynchburg, Moore County, a dry county where the sale of alcohol is prohibited. The only exception? Bottles sold as souvenirs to visitors. Yet this restriction has done little to hinder the brand’s success. Today, Jack Daniel’s is present in over 170 countries and welcomes more than 300,000 visitors annually.

From Prohibition to Global Fame
Like all American distilleries, Jack Daniel’s was forced to shut down during Prohibition (1920–1933), when alcohol production was outlawed. It was Lem Motlow, Jack Daniel’s nephew, who later revived the distillery and resumed production.
In 1956, the brand was acquired by the Brown-Forman group, which helped elevate it to one of the most iconic names in American whiskey. Today, Jack Daniel’s is among the best-selling spirits in the world.
A World Beyond Old No. 7
While Old No. 7 remains the flagship, the range has expanded with several distinctive expressions :
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel
Bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof), this Single Barrel expression of the iconic Tennessee whiskey is distinguished by caramel, spice, and vibrant fruit notes.
Each selected barrel reveals a unique profile, with a rare aromatic concentration for an American whiskey of this scale. On the palate, the texture is generous, almost velvety, unfolding layers of toasted vanilla, nutmeg, and black cherry, all supported by a perfectly integrated oak structure.
The finish is long and warming, leaving a lasting impression of ripe fruits and soft spices—the hallmark of aging in heavily charred American oak barrels.
JACK DANIEL'S Honey

JACK DANIEL'S Honey
Jack Daniel’s & Honey is a whiskey liqueur subtly enhanced by the sweetness of honey. Crafted from the original Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, this expression combines the aromatic depth of Tennessee whiskey, slowly charcoal mellowed using the traditional method, with a carefully blended honey liqueur.
JACK DANIEL'S Gentleman Jack
This Tennessee whiskey is charcoal mellowed both before barreling and, uniquely, before bottling. A rare Jack Daniel’s expression, it features an amber color with reddish hues. The light, lifted nose reveals the signature charred wood notes typical of Jack Daniel’s.
On the palate, it opens with a smooth, oily texture and a dry attack, evolving into soft licorice notes. The medium-length finish lingers on licorice and toasted undertones.
A True Icon of American Culture
Jack Daniel’s is more than a whiskey, it's a cultural symbol. Found in bars, films, and concert stages, it’s been embraced by figures like Frank Sinatra, Lemmy Kilmister, and Keith Richards. With its timeless, slightly rebellious image, it transcends whiskey connoisseurs to become a true cultural icon.
