Masuizumi Van Gaihen is a 2017 sake aged in second-use Burgundy barrels, giving it a toasty profile with vanilla and salted butter caramel aromas, immediately reminiscent of a Grand Cru from the Côte de Beaune, but with the richness and umami unique to sake. A rare cuvee, produced in limited edition by Masuda Brewery in Toyama on the Japanese west coast.
