From our 2007 collection, this bottling of 1987 vintage Laphroaig was exclusive to La Maison du Whisky. It was blended from six hogshead casks, producing exactly 1,387 bottles. This version, noticed by Malts Maniacs, broke with the 2006 version, a 1974 vintage made from two sherry casks, which has since become a highly sought-after bottle.

Nose : complex and unctuous. Initially marked by notes of flowers and exotic fruit (pineapple, passion fruit), it evolves towards peat and ash (soot) before becoming marine (salt, iodine, smoked fish) and spicy (camphor, cinnamon).
Overall : longue et minérale (pierre à fusil, ardoise), elle se prolonge sur la fine âcreté de la tourbe et sur la réglisse. Les extraits secs, une fois le verre vide, dévoilent des notes de poivre blanc, de terre et de truffe.
