TAKESHIGE

Founded in 1868 in Nagano Prefecture, Takeshige Honke Shuzō is a historic brewery located on the ancient Nakasendō route, now led by the 16th generation of the Takeshige family. Several of its brewery buildings are designated as Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan.

Remaining faithful to the traditional Kimoto method, the house highlights Nagano’s terroir and mountain waters. Their Junmai sakes are known for their deep, rich character and are particularly exceptional when served warm.
