The limited edition Sauternes Cask Matured has been aged for at least five years in first and second fill Sauternes casks specially selected by Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills for their high quality. This ageing ensures a perfect balance between buttery sweetness, roasted pineapple, candied ginger and Kilchoman's floral peat smoke.

Founded in 2005, Kilchoman is the first distillery to be built on Islay in over a century. Cradled by the sea spray of Machir Bay beach, the 1st single malt was released in September 2009. Built on the model of a 19th-century "farm distillery", Kilchoman makes a point of handcrafting a peated malt with finely saline accents.

Heavily Peated

Nose : Creamy, buttery notes with ripe fruits, hints of salty air and subtle peat smoke.

Palate : Butterscotch and floral notes combine with tropical and candied fruits with integrated peat smoke flowing throughout.

Overall : Sweetness continues onto the finish, balanced with clean lingering smoke an rich texture.
