To mark its anniversary, the Kilchoman distillery is unveiling a brand-new series: 20 years of Kilchoman, 20 casks to celebrate the occasion!
The twenty casks in question, carefully selected by Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills, embody the unique flavour profile of Islay's only independent, family-run farm distillery, and characterize two decades of commitment to craftsmanship and the local farm-distillery model.
This first bottling in the series is a 14-year-old aged in ex-bourbon casks.
Heavily Peated
Nose : Soft and full-bodied with rich caramel and toffee, complemented by hints of lemon zest and subtle peat smoke.
Palate : Lush and smooth, with sweet toffee and vanilla, followed by lemon curd notes and a light, integrated peat smoke.
Overall : Long and warming, with lingering honey sweetness and a crisp, smoky citrus finish.
