Color : jaune doré soutenu.
Nose : Velvety, intense. Rich and oily peat, rice pudding, coconut, acacia honey, Tiger Balm, banana, pineapple, sage, and cumin are among the highlights of a remarkably dense aromatic profile. With aeration, scents of Bourbon vanilla and mirabelle plum underscore its indulgent character.
Palate : Refined, silky. Defined by flavors of vanilla custard, the palate highlights the herbaceous nuances (alfalfa) of a peat that has also turned more saline and liquorice-toned. Gradually, citrus and candied fruits (grapefruit, pear) take center stage.
Overall : Round, radiant. Forming the bedrock upon which it rests, flavors of grated ginger, walnut husk, and dry peat bring immense poise. Medicinal (tincture of iodine), malted, and mineral (chalk), the very end of the finish invites us to savor the exotic fruits first revealed on the nose.
