PROFILE: This blended whisky displays a rich and complex profile, featuring notes of vanilla, cloves and orchard fruit. It is a blend of a single malt from the Kanosuke Distillery and a single grain from the Hioki Distillery, matured in various types of casks, including some that previously held shochu.

Nose : Refreshing and fruity, opening with notes of vanilla sugar, before evolving into fruity aromas of melon, peach and apricot, finishing with herbaceous notes of mint and a hint of chalk from the ex-shochu.
Palate : Sharp and vibrant, with a profusion of spices and honey on the attack, developing into rich notes of orange jam, red apple and black tea. As on the nose, the palate finishes on mentholated notes of liquorice and cloves.
Overall : A long, lingering finish of honey and lemon sweets, balanced by a fresh eucalyptus note.
