ISLAY 30 ans A Marriage of Casks Elixir Distillers

This single malt is a blend of two ex-Bourbon casks and one ex-Oloroso Sherry cask. Distilled between 1990 and 1991 and aged for over 30 years, these 3 single casks come from a secret distillery on the island of Islay. These three decades of ageing have given this single malt a marvellous, dense tropical smoke, gradually approaching gunflint. The finish reveals notes of pastries and eucalyptus.
For each 'A Marriage of Casks' series, Elixir Distillers carefully selects a small number of casks and then blends them to create a whisky that is both complex and unique.
The Single Malts of Scotland offers a range of superb vintage Scotch single malts. Each edition is carefully selected from Elixir Distillers casks from Scotland's six whisky-producing regions. Only casks deemed to have achieved the required quality and character will be bottled as The Single Malts of Scotland. To ensure that each of these whiskies retains its flavour and character, they are not chill-filtered and no colourings are added.
