Purple Star is the flagship of the Hoshitori sake series. Never content with the status quo, Purple Star seeks a balance between rice polish ratio, sake quality, sweetness and acidity. This is a sake that continues to evolve. Nose: peony, grape leaf, leather. On the palate: fresh hazelnut, caramelized banana, lovely sweetness. A finish reminiscent of English candy.
Serving temperature: Between 6 and 12°C.
Pairing suggestions: Teriyaki chicken, bell pepper piperade, tourteau fromager.
