Thor is the first whisky in an exceptional Highland Park “Valhalla” collection of four unique whiskies. Inspired by Norse legends, this whisky takes its name from Thor, the god of war and thunder, always depicted with his hammer. Legend has it that Thor struck the Orkney Islands, where the Highland Park distillery is located, with thunderbolts. Bottled brut de bût, this 16-year-old whisky at 52.1% shows impressive character on the first nose, then reveals all its smoothness. This limited edition of 23,000 bottles worldwide pays a fitting tribute to Norse mythology, with a wooden box in the shape of a drakkar.
