EYGUEBELLE Liqueur de Verveine 55%
Liqueurs Herbales, France / Rhone-alpes, 70cl, Ref: 5831
In ancient times, Verbena was a key ingredient for its delicious virtues and is still nowadays a well-known plant in Europe. Named “Herbe à Venus” (venus’gass), this plant was known to attract love. Later Verbena was used during religious events by priests (druids) and Asian healers (chaman) to predict the future or fight and remove evil spirits. Today Verbena is still regularly consumed whether it is for its medicinal benefits or gustative qualities. Thanks to Eyguebelle savoir-fair, liqueur de Verveine is an explosion of aromas on the palate and on the nose. Verbena is powerful and slightly lemony. It can be drunk, neat, with ice, in cocktail or with tonic.
Tasting tips: Unlike wine tastings, herbal liqueurs should be tasted breathing out. Carbone dioxide soothes taste buds and helps to develop aromatics notes.
- Appearance : shiny green with yellow shades.
- Nose : verbena intense. Lemony touch, great intensity.
- Palate : intense and greasy. Verbena intense with lemon zests.
- Overall : Perfect balance between sugar alcohol and verbena.
