ENCANTADO Mezcal Artesanal

Encantado is an artisanal mezcal produced in San Luis del Río, in the heart of Oaxaca Valley, a village renowned for its fine, mineral-driven mezcals with a subtle smoky character. Developed specifically for the cocktail scene, Encantado is made from 100% Espadín agave by maestro mezcalero Baltazar Cruz Gómez and his sons. It is crafted using traditional methods: the agaves are cooked in an underground conical oven, crushed using a tahona, then naturally fermented before being double-distilled in copper stills. Its aromatic profile combines cooked agave with notes of citrus, ginger and white pepper, supported by a subtle dry smokiness. On the palate, its fine texture and saline character lead to a fresh, vegetal and slightly spicy finish. Accessible and versatile, Encantado can be enjoyed neat, but truly comes into its own in cocktails, particularly classic mezcal serves.
