Character
Tasting
Nose : rich, unctuous. A burst of exotic fruits (banana), vanilla and candied lemons combine to reveal a single fruit: kiwi. Develops with aromas of liquorice and coffee. Deliciously honeyed (acacia), it lingers on notes of wax, walnut and dried fig.
Appearance : vibrant golden yellow
Palate : full-bodied, balanced. This rounded concoction first coats the palate in a layer of vanilla and double cream. The mid-palate emerges spicy (star anise, clove) and roasted (coffee beans, chocolate chips). Herbs and freshly-cut grass take over the end of the palate.
Overall : long, sappy. It gains significantly in concentration. The gustatory palette develops a more powerful, firmer aspect. A pinch of salt settles on the back of the tongue. Dried fruit (date, prune) accentuates its tannic development. The retro-nasal olfaction sways between green malt, fresh fruit and coconut. The empty glass is malty, spiced (coriander, cinnamon) and chocolatey
