Vermouth di Torino is part of the collective heritage of Piedmont, the Royal Court of Savoy being the first great promoter of a product that, mainly from the end of the 18th century, generated a flourishing industry that led Piedmont to become the Kingdom of Vermouth. Storico Vermouth di Torino Cocchi, also colloquially known as "Cocchi Torino", is still produced after 130 years according to the original recipe of Giulico Cocchi. It falls into the category of traditional Italian rosso vermouths, sweet and amber as described in the manuals of the late 800s.
