Nose : Rich, complex. Saline (sea spray, samphire), verdant (barley, cut hay), fruity (lime, apple, watermelon), mentholated, and medicinal (ointment), the olfactory space constantly evolves between land and sea. With aeration, driven by a sea breeze, iodized and aniseed aromas accentuate the pastoral character of the aromatic palette.

Palate : Ample, dynamic. Supported by flavors of vanilla (bean) and dark chocolate, and simultaneously irrigated by infusions of bergamot and cardamom tea, the flavor palette displays a great nobility of expression. Empyreumatic (eucalyptus), medicinal, and anise-flavored, it builds in power towards heady floral registers (iris, white peony, lily).

Overall : Dense, concentrated. Resinous (pine), licorice-tinged (stick), lemony (zests), and intimately interwoven with the late palate, it brilliantly captures the "coastal" character that defines Clynelish so well. In the retro-olfaction, fragrances of incense and coal rival in intensity with flavors of arugula, coconut milk, and zucchini fritter.
