Founded in 2011 by Marine Lucchini and Thibault Spithakis, this distillery is located in Phuket, more precisely in Chalong Bay. Made from an endemic variety of sugarcane grown in the heart of the surrounding jungle, this rum is fermented for thirteen days and distilled in an Armagnac still. It was then aged for fourteen months in a cask containing Jamaican rum. This rare and powerful single cask is bottled at 62.5% abv. Its particularly expansive aromatic profile constantly pushes back the boundaries of tasting, revealing new scents and flavours every time you return. The honeyed scents that permeate the atmosphere long afterwards are a perfect illustration.

Nose : Both rich and elegant. An initial mineral aroma is accompanied by hints of vesuvius and fresh cane sugar. Spicy and medicinal (balsam), the aromatic palette then evolves towards distinctly fruitier tones (lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, banana).

Palate : Lively and taut. With a very pleasant plant-based bitterness (sugar cane, ginseng root), the range of flavours comes back strongly on the fruity notes of the nose. Quite simply, the fruit has become more roasted (pineapple), flambéed (banana) or candied (lemon). Noble spices (cardamom, cloves) gradually make their appearance.

Overall : Long and well-balanced. Mineral (heated asphalt), finely liquoriced and floral (geranium, iris), the finish is softened by the presence of vanilla and milky flavours (coconut, yoghurt). Over time, it becomes more aniseed and camphor. The fibrous aftertaste makes us contemplate a field of cane.
