PROFILE : This single malt reveals a rich and smooth profile, featuring peated, smoky, maritime, herbaceous, sea spray and empyreumatic notes. Selected exclusively by La Maison du Whisky for the Les Anthologistes Collection, this small batch comes from a blend of three second-fill hogshead casks and is bottled at 48% ABV.
INDEPENDENT BOTTLER : The Small Batch range by Elixir Distillersbrings together a selection of exceptional expressions created by blending a few carefully chosen casks (between two and five casks), bottled without chill-filtration or colouring.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS : This scotch whisky can be enjoyed neat in a tulip or Glencairn glass.

Heavily Peated
Nose : Rich, unctuous. Initially, a peat with oily, saline, herbaceous (green barley), iodized, spicy (clove), and slightly camphorated accents permeates an aromatic palette that gradually takes on rubbery and tarry notes. With aeration, it radically changes its profile, as an intense smoke then takes full possession of the olfactory register.
Palate : Ample, full-bodied. A magnificent copy-paste of the nose, the flavor palette fully plays the peat and smoke card. A delicious invitation to savor a cigar with herbaceous and peppery scents, it becomes vegetal over time (alfalfa, barley field), creamy (milk tart), and rich in mineral salts.
Overall : Dynamic, fresh. At first milky (coconut), earthy (blocks of peat), and lemony, it quickly becomes medicinal (ointment), malty, and ashy. A few plants (rush, reed) as well as flavors of freshwater fish (pike, zander) highlight the original and seductive character of the retro-olfaction.
