BUNNAHABHAIN 11 ans 2013 Itinéraires Decadent Drams

Founded in 2018 by Angus MacRaild and Iain McClune, Decadent Drinks first became known in January 2019 with the bottling of its first single malts under the "Whisky Sponge" label, a nod to the satirical blog Angus has been running for several years. This version has benefited from an original aging process: half in a Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead that previously contained a Bunnahabhain Staoisha and half in an Oloroso sherry hogshead in which a single malt from the Ardnahoe distillery, founded in 2017 by Hunter Laing & Company on the Isle of Islay, had previously matured. Delicately peaty, its aromatic and flavor palette is based on subtle mineral notes, the foundation for all the other tones of its complex and elegant personality.
