BUFFALO TRACE Experimental Col - Wheat 105

The Buffalo Trace Distillery’s latest “Experimental Collection” illustrates the effects of alcoholic strength in the barrel on the ageing of whiskey. The four whiskies that make up this range, consisting of Wheat 90, Wheat 105, Wheat 115 and Wheat 125, were all distilled to 65% ABV, but were then placed in barrels at different strengths. The barrels were and then aged for 11 years and 7 months, and the whiskies were bottled at 45% ABV._x000D_

Following this ageing period, the Wheat 105, which was transferred to barrels at 52.5%, is rounded and presents aromas of cooked berries, honey, pepper and cloves._x000D_
