PROFILE : This single malt reveals a complex and subtle profile, featuring peated, maritime, fruity, floral and spicy notes. Selected exclusively by La Maison du Whisky for the Les Anthologistes Collection, this single cask No. 4132 displays a phenol level between 25 and 30 ppm, was matured in a sherry hogshead cask and bottled at cask strength.

Nose : Tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit), an infinitely fat and oily peat, aromas of seaweed, a few cloves, iodine tincture, candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), beeswax, scents of incense, honeysuckle, Tiger Balm... this is what is revealed by an aromatic palette that leaves you speechless.
Palate : Lively, elegant. Mineral (graphite, Zan licorice), floral (violet, tuberose), infused (linden), and maritime (sea spray), the flavor palette showcases the same fat and oily peat, which is now enriched with grains of salt. Evoking a fireplace hearth, the late palate is marked by flavors of soot, smoked meat, and cardamom tea.
Overall : Ample, full-bodied. Malty, herbaceous (straw, cut hay), and ashy, it possesses a powdery and patinated mouthfeel (rice grain, grated ginger, nutmeg). In the retro-olfaction, flavors of essential oils (rosemary, sage), barley grains, tarry pipe tobacco, and smoked fish sit alongside tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit).
